What is a panelization System?

WallPro's construction method of choice. Panelization is a highly engineered construction method that produces buildings and building components in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Our wall panels are custom-manufactured, and each wall panel is cut and framed to the individual plan specification.  Each of the wall panels is marked with a number that is clearly referenced in the customer's wall layout plans.

The wall panel system will appear and handle like conventional walls and be readily adaptable to current construction techniques and applications. However, the wall panel systems are more affordable, durable, safer, and have less environmental impact than conventional site built wood frame construction.

By meeting and exceeding the highest standards of quality set by the National Building Code and providing our Assurance of Excellence, we offer within-budget, on-schedule quality homes so you can stop worrying about your house and start living your life.

What are the cost benefits of systems building?

Owners of our system-built structures will see savings upfront and throughout the life of the building. WallPro uses an efficient construction process to see to a minimum of excess waste and labor. Job site assembly is swift, reducing risk of inclement weather, theft, and vandalism.

What do panelized buildings look like?

Banks, Schools, Motels, Hotels, Office Buildings, and high quality homes. These are just a few examples of the far reaching scope of a panel systems building.  Chances are you have been in a systems-built structure and haven't realized it.

Why is the panelized building better?

In a few words: You will have a better built home - in less time.
Here is why:
  1. Climate Controlled Production
The major components of a home, the roof, floor and walls are manufactured in climate-controlled factories, keeping the wood from the elements of nature.
The result: Dryer lumber means less warping, shrinking, twisting, rotting or swelling.
    • Walls will be straighter.
    • You'll have fewer nail-pops, ceiling or corner cracks
    • Windows and doors fit better, they wont stick and will need fewer adjustments
  2. Cost Savings
    • Less labour required to put the structure up
    • Shorter construction time frame
    • Guaranteed price up front; there are no costly overruns
    • Less cleanup cost at the job-site
    • Less material waste
    • Less job-site theft; its hard to steal a wall panel
  3. Excellent Quality
    • All components are manufactured to strict building standards & codes, and thoroughly inspected every step of the way
    • Better built looks better in the long run, and holds its value better
  4. Less home-builder stress
    • The major work is completed before the package arrives at your job site
    • Fewer contractors to deal with
    • Faster move-in date
    • Fewer costly delays caused by weather, sub-trades, etc.
    • A cleaner job site is a safer job site

Do panelization systems affect the quality of a building?

Panelizing will reduce sorting, measuring, squaring, cutting and nailing, as well as minimize lumber waste. Using panels does not make your home prefabricated. It is still "stick-built".  WallPro builds to the same local building code as "stick-built" structures, and due to the rigors of ground transportation our building components often exceed the local building codes. Walls and other components are reinforced to ensure the highest quality upon arrival. WallPro uses a controlled construction environment ensuring building components are inspected before leaving the assembly area.

What is the difference between a panelized and a modular home?

A panelized home is a house package of components that are built in a climate-controlled factory. It is sent out in sections and assembled on site, by a building contractor. The package includes everything required to take the home to dry-in stage, including: roof trusses, floor system, exterior and interior wall panels (with window and door openings framed in).

A modular home is manufactured in the factory also, but it is sent to you as partially completed units. The home may be sent in 2 to 4 pieces, depending on its size, and then put together on the job site.

The only difference between a panelized home and the traditional stick-built, site-built home is where the wall is framed. Rather than snap chalk lines at the job site, then assemble each wall in less than ideal conditions, panelizers frame your walls in the comfort of their own building.

Who will finance a systems built structure?

Just about anyone! Since these structures are built to the same codes as stick-built homes, most banks and lending institutions treat both types of construction the same. In fact, some financiers have established departments specifically for systems-built homes.

How will my building be delivered?

The delivery of you home package can be flexible to suit your needs. Typically the house is delivered in 3 shipments. The first being the floor system, the second the wall panel system and the third delivery is the roof trusses.

How long is my warranty?

The warranties on the products used in your building vary depending on the product in question. WallPro Inc. warranties and guarantees all of the precision manufactured components that we manufacture. A Warranty Guide, a complete list of all warranties is provided with each building we deliver.
